Recent graduate, picked this up during a good sale they were running. I have to tell you, it’s a lot nicer than the one they tried to pawn off on me at school. Although it doesn’t look quite like the picture (mine came with brown lines and accessories) it’s still a good, sturdy piece of equipment.

Once I adjusted where my arm should go on table it worked great. I cannot use the arm stand that came with it for some reason. It would give a false reading of about 20 too low (D & S).

I got this for my mother who is hard of seeing. This one has large digits and she can get by. The BIG problem is that the cuff lasted a week and a half. I emailed Samsung and they sent me an order form for another.
In the mean time we took that monitor back to the store because my mother needs to take her blood pressure several times a day. The second monitor’s cuff lasted 1 week. My mom treats these like gold too.
The first one seemed to leak around the valve on the cuff and the second seemed to be leaking from the seams.
I ordered a new cuff before the second one started leaking but who knows that will probably leak too.
We really need better from a monitor that costs this much. I am now looking for a heavy duty cuff for it.
If you don’t want the frustration , get a different monitor then this one. And don’t expect too much help from Samsung. Although they were nice.

I consider the OMRON Premium Blood Pressure Monitor – Model HEM 775 to be the best monitor available. I’ve looked over others at the stores and nothing seems to be up to this quality. This monitor is made to be very compact. It’s quick to open and the pre-formed cuff is easy to place on your arm. The face has large numbers and it’s simple to operate. It has the capability to keep stored information on two users which are clearly marked as A and B and you can save 100 readings for each person. You can also keep your morning and evening blood pressure readings separate and it can detect an irregular heartbeat. It comes with batteries and an AC adapter. I also like the fact that this little computer is attractive and can sit neatly on your counter or easily placed in a kitchen drawer. It comes with a 5 year guarantee. I think it’s one of the best quality purchases that I’ve made in a long time.

Very easy unit to use, just insert your arm and press the start button on the remote. Simple to use and accurate! You can also take the remote to the doctor so he can review the last 90 readings, it memorizes them, including date and time, very slick. I would highly recommend this unit.

This instrument was suggested to me by my internist. At his BP clinic, his medical assistants told me the systolic BP’s measured by my OSZ5 were inaccurate. I called WA’s service and was told this model couldn’t be calibrated. They offered an exchange at no charge which I accepted. A few months later, the instrument fell 18 inches from my bed and landed on the floor. The battery compartment popped open and two small plastic pins broke off so the compartment would no longer stay closed. I sent it back to WA for repairs. They told me the instrument needed recalibration (I had been previously told that was impossible.) along with the repair. They quoted a charge of $75 plus shipping. Since I had paid around $110 for the unit, this seemed rather expensive.

This took place while the instrument was under warranty. They said this repair was not covered. I told them to junk it.

This unit is very easy to use and appears to be accurate. I haven’t had a chance to check it against my Doctors unit, but from my past experience it appears to be right on for both my wife and I. I would recommend this unit.
